It’s an older case, made by a shop that is no longer around (String Bass Shop in San Francisco), which means it has stood the test of time with no accidents or disasters. This thing is tough!

It has an internal latch system that you lock/unlock with an Allen wrench. You can fit your bass with its soft case in the trunk. There are wheels and lots of handles, making it easy to wheel around the airport with one hand, with a rolling suitcase in your other hand. With a bass inside, it typically weighs 100 lbs.
